Good Morning Members,
It is with much sadness that we are officially announcing that the 2020 BSCA National Specialty in Asheville, NC is cancelled – no postponing, no rescheduling, cancelled. For the past few days, we have worked non-stop trying to make it work, even to the point of moving the entire event elsewhere, but we just couldn’t make all the puzzle pieces fit.
What we do know and are working on right now….and ask for your patience…
1. HOTEL ROOMS
The Hotel Room Block will be cancelled by the hotel, YOU DON’T NEED TO DO ANYTHING. We were waiting to see if we could reschedule first. The hotel is extremely busy at this time and as soon as we get this accomplished, we will post the listing of all the cancellations.
2. REFUNDS
Any items purchased, will be refunded. For those of you who have ordered 2020 “Collectible” Merchandise and were planning to pick up at the National, we will deduct the shipping charges from any non-merchandise item refunds. If you only ordered 2020 merchandise, we’ll let you know what the shipping charges will be. If you ordered non-merchandise only, Cindy will reverse the sale.
Anyone who ordered Parade of Titleholders Rosettes, will also be refunded. Fortunately, Debbie was waiting until the last minute to make them.
Again, all shipping and refunding will be done as timely as possible.
3. ANNUAL MEETING
This is being discussed by the Board and any concerns, please address directly to them.
4. SPONSORED TROPHIES
If you sponsored a trophy for 2020 and wish to transfer that donation to 2021 or if you wish to be refunded your trophy donation, please reach out to Mary Stephens and let her know what your wish is.
To everyone involved in 2020, a huge THANK YOU!!! This was going to be an awesome National and it was because of all of you….our BSCA Members who volunteered as Committee Chairs, BSCA members who volunteered behind the scenes, Blue Ridge members who wanted to be a big part of the event and volunteered many hours of their time, and to our family and friends who just wanted to help out. However, there are two special men who need to be recognized –our husbands—my Bill and Eileen’s Brian. They have endured endless phone calls at all hours, been ‘volunteered’ by their crazy wives for jobs they may not have wanted to do, been comfort to our tears, and have just been our moral support throughout the whole ordeal.
